The PK-Pool pH peristaltic dosing pump is a proportional flow pump to automatically manage the pH level of the pool as it measures the pH level in real time, and doses the pH regulating liquid in a proportional way.
Valid to increase or decrease pH: the pK pH allows to control the pH measurement and to inject pH increaser or pH decreaser, which makes it an excellent option for all types of chlorine and disinfectants with different pH typologies (salt chlorination, liquid chlorine, solid chlorine, chlorine tablets…).
Etatron’s PK-Pool pH pump is the ideal choice for controlling the pH of residential and small public pools, and accurately dosing professional-grade liquid pH reducer or booster. It allows the dosing of pH reducer or pH raiser (not both at the same time), so it is suitable for any type of chemical treatment, both salt chlorination and traditional chlorines with low pH.
It is also perfect as a quiet solution in machine rooms thanks to its wall bracket and noise-free peristaltic operation.
Technical characteristics of the Etatron PK-Pool pH regulation pump.
- PK-Pool peristaltic pumps can be used in domestic pools and spas. They provide a dosing proportional to the measured value, avoiding overdosing.
- It has a backlit display and installation accessories.
- It works with a flow rate of up to 1.5 liters per hour and a maximum pressure of 1.5 bar.
- Uses a 230V 50-60 Hz power supply.
- It has a programmable set point.
- The measuring range is 0-14 pH.
- It is an easy to use pump, which allows the adjustment of both acid and alkaline dosage (injection of pH reducer or pH booster as required).
- This peristaltic pump helps you save energy, consuming only 15W.
- If you want to manage the chlorine level via redox, there is a control model for redox and chlorine dosing in the PK-Pool range.
What is the pH of a pool and why is it important to keep it between 7.2 and 7.4?
The pH measures the level of acidity or alkalinity of the pool water. Maintaining it between 7.2 and 7.4 is essential to ensure balanced and safe water for bathing since, in this range, chlorine acts much more effectively as a disinfectant, avoiding irritation to the eyes and skin of bathers and reducing the risk of incrustations or corrosion in pool equipment.
If the pH is too high, the chlorine loses effectiveness and the water may become cloudy.
If it is too low, the water becomes aggressive and can damage materials such as liners, o-rings or metal components.
Important note.
pH probes are extremely sensitive measuring devices and are consumables. These products cannot be exposed directly to acids or excessive pressure, as they will break. Except for defects that occur immediately upon installation, the manufacturer does not provide a warranty for the pH probe, as it is a consumable item. Periodic calibration of the probe using uncontaminated buffer solutions is recommended to ensure the probe’s proper service life.
