Durability Innovation: The PQS salt chlorinator cell spare part has an important innovation in terms of durability. This cell is of mixed type, the outer blades are electrically connected to the anode and cathode, while the central blades are not, which prolongs its useful life.

It has a length of 22.5cm and 46mm between terminals. It can be recognized by the two black outer rings and the LMX designation on the label.

What material is the Pooltechnologie cell electrode holder made of?

The electrode holder cup is made of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), which gives them exceptional properties, such as their transparency, which is equal or even superior to that of glass. They are also highly resistant to chemical agents, since the cell is where chlorine is most concentrated. In addition, their lightness does not compromise their strength.

What is the expected life span of the chlorinator cell? QP Salt Bright?

Under proper conditions of use, its useful life is estimated at more than 10,000 hours.

How do I know that the chlorinator cell has reached the end of its useful life?

One of the most common signals is that the chlorinator stops producing, except when maximum power is selected or it is set to superchlorination. In other occasions the chlorinator gives a false signal of “low salinity”, indicating that it is detecting a problem of low conductivity between the blades.
