Chlorinator Spare Parts Innowater SCM and Innowater Salt. 100% original electrodes.

The Spare part cell replacement electrode Innowater SMC is compatible with chlorinators Innowater blue, white and black and comes in 5 models ranging from 10 to 50 g / h, with capacity for residential pools from 30 to 200 cubic meters, so you should verify that it is the same size of the original cell.

It is a long life bipolar type cell specially designed to be used in the Innowater SMC salt chlorinator although it can also be used in the AQT salt chlorinator or the black Innowater SALT salt chlorinator.

This spare part, 100% original manufactured by Innowater, can have an operating time of 14,000 hours depending on the type of water, the amount of salt added during each cleaning and the frequency of polarity change.

Probe holder vessel, cable or connection terminals are not included. Included the upper o-ring of the terminal cover, to ensure a perfect seal as the first day.

It has an approximate overall dimension of 19cm, so it is only compatible with larger cell housing sizes.

If your innowater cell is old, we recommend replacing also the cell cable to ensure a correct adjustment and to allow a homogeneous voltage in the cell, which directly influences the lifetime of the electrode.

Chlorinator electrodes are spare parts with a limited lifetime in operating hours. For this reason, once installed, they cannot be returned, since PoolComet only sells 100% new and unused products.

⚠️ It is not possible to replace an electrode with one of higher or lower capacity than the original.

⚠️ The Innowater SMC cell is not compatible with the NaturalChlor model. If you are looking for the cell of the NaturalChlor SMC you must follow this link

If you have any doubts about which is the correct model of spare part for your equipment, please contact us by WhatsApp before making the purchase. We will be happy to help you.

Aquatronics AQT – Compatible Cell

The Innowater SMC cell is compatible with the salt chlorinator model AQT.

How can I know if the cell of Innowater SMC is depleted?

Generally, the cell gradually loses its production capacity.

When the system displays the message “NO CELL” or “CELL NOT DETECTED”, this may indicate that the cell is depleted. To rule out other problems, make sure that the cell is properly connected, has no lime scale or dirt blocking any of the blades. If the cell is clean and well connected to the cable, the cell may have reached the end of its useful life.

If you have any questions you can contact us by whatsapp without obligation, we will be happy to help you.

Why is it so important to change the salt chlorinator cell Innowater SMC ?

The chlorinator cell is the part in charge of generating disinfectant in the pool. Over time, the blades of the cell wear out and stop producing chlorine.
Is this swimming pool cell spare part compatible between your different models?

No, each model works independently. For example, it is not possible to use the SMC10 model in the SMC50, because the voltage applied to each model varies.
How can I know if the electrodes of the INNOWATER SMC have reached the end of their useful life?

The chlorinator will not be able to increase the chlorine production above 10% or 20% even if we try to increase the production from the menu. In addition, the error message “NO CELL” or “CELL NOT DETECTED” will appear on the screen display.

How can I extend the life of the salt chlorinator cell Innowater SMC ?

There are several useful tips for extending electrode life:

  1. Extend the frequency of polarity changes. The more frequent the polarity change, the shorter the life of the electrolysis cell. A polarity change of less than 4 hours will be one of the main causes of cell life reduction. If the water of your pool does not have much calcium hardness, we recommend that this change of polarity is between 6h and 8h to keep the cell clean and extend the life of the cell. In the salt chlorinator Innowater SMC you can modify the frequency of polarity change in the option 2 of the menu.
  2. Clean the electrodes at least once a year, with specific products such as ACTI liquid cell cleaner.
  3. Close the chlorinator bypass when you are backwashing the filter. This will reduce the dirt that we bring to the salt chlorinator cell.
  4. Remove the cell in winterizing. When the water temperature drops, there is a noticeable decrease in the conductivity of the water. This lower water conductivity will be compensated by the salt chlorinator by increasing the electrical intensity. This increase in intensity shortens the life of the chlorinator. In addition, in winter, no chlorine production is needed. You can learn more about pool winterizing tips in our blog article.

If you wish, you can find more information about the correct maintenance of the salt chlorinator in our article on “How to keep the salt chlorinator in good conditions”.

Chlorine Jet Plus Culligan – Electrode. Is it compatible?

Yes, the SMC cell is compatible with the Culligan Chlorine jet plus salt chlorinator, discontinued since 2014. If you have doubts about which model is the right one to replace the electrode of your chlorinator, do not hesitate to contact us.

What differentiates the connections of the old innowater cells from the current ones?

The old innowater cells incorporated a series of terminals to anchor the connectors to the cell cable more securely. The new models do not incorporate terminals, so if you are replacing an older cell with terminals, we recommend that you also purchase the current cell cable to ensure full compatibility.
