The AstralPool New Generation 20565 is a 6-way manual selector valve, designed to be installed on the top of pool filters. It allows easy control of the various functions of the filtration system by means of a single rotary knob with safety lock.

Manufactured in plastic materials with high resistance to pressure, chemicals and UV radiation, it guarantees reliable and long-lasting operation. Its ergonomic and compact design facilitates maintenance and hydraulic connection.

How to change the valve position correctly?

To change the function, turn the pump off before turning the knob. Press the handle down, turn it to the desired position (indicated on the cover), and release it to lock it in place. Never change position while the pump is running, as you may damage the valve or filter.

What to do if the valve leaks water from the drain?

If there is constant leakage from the drain outlet (waste), check the central o-ring or the internal distributor. It may be worn or have debris that prevents a tight seal. Clean the parts and, if the problem persists, replace the o-ring kit or rotor assembly for this model.

My pool filter valve “broke” when I made the connections. Why did this happen?

Pool filter valves—and any component with a female thread—require a male threaded connection. Sometimes, by mistake, users apply too much Teflon tape to the male thread, exerting excessive pressure on the female thread and causing the body where the female thread is located to break. It is recommended to apply a small amount of Teflon thread tape to the male thread to ensure a tight seal without damaging the female thread.
