ACTI Alkafix Alkalinity Booster

Powdered product to quickly raise the total alkalinity level in water.

A correct level of alkalinity allows the pH to be stabilized. A stable pH allows chlorine and other disinfectants to be more effective.

In addition, a correct alkalinity level in the water extends the life of the salt chlorination electrode.

Recommended for all types of pools and spas. Slow dissolution. At first, especially with low water temperatures, the product may give a whitish appearance to the water that will disappear over the course of hours / days.

How can I measure the alkalinity level?

The easiest way to do this is with the Aquachek yellow 4-in-1 test strips, which measure free chlorine, pH, alkalinity and Stabiliser.

Why is alkalinity important in my salt pool?

The Salt Chlorinator generates a type of disinfectant with high pH. By keeping the alkalinity at the right level, the pH of the pool remains stable. In addition, the alkalinity influences the conductivity of the water, allowing the chlorinator to work in a less forced way.
