Replacement cell compatible with Zodiac equipment. This range is specifically designed to replace the cells of the popular D10, D20, MD50 and MD90 models, manufactured with 100 mm solid titanium blades prepared to withstand polarity reversal.

Replacing the cell in time prevents damage to the chlorinator power supply. If your chlorine production has dropped drastically or the “Low Salt” indicator lights up even though you have the correct salt, it’s time to change it.

I am not clear if my old cell has 5 or 9 blades, it is very calcified. How do I know which one to buy without making a mistake?

If you can’t count the blades, the safest way to get it right is to go by the volume of your pool.

If your pool is up to 50m³ (e.g. 8×4 meters), your equipment requires model D10 / MD50 (5 blades).
If your pool is between 60 and 90 m³, your equipment needs the D20 / MD90 model (9 blades).”

Is the cell difficult to install? Do I need a technician?

No, it is a very simple process. Just turn off the pump, close the stopcocks, unscrew the old cell, disconnect the wires and insert the new one. It is important that the terminals are tightened securely to prevent them from overheating.

Do I have to change the pool water to put in a new cell?

It is not necessary to change the water unless the level of Stabiliser or total salts (TDS) is excessively high. What is mandatory is to balance the pH between 7.2 and 7.4 before turning on the new cell, as the electrolysis process tends to naturally raise the pH.
