I am not clear if my old cell has 5 or 9 blades, it is very calcified. How do I know which one to buy without making a mistake?

The Ei series features polarity reversal technology (self-cleaning), so the cell automatically removes most of the scale deposits. However, we suggest you check the clear cell housing visually a couple of times a year. If you notice severe white scale (common in very hard water), clean it with a specific product without ever scraping the blades.

Is the cell difficult to install? Do I need a technician?

No, it is a very simple process. Just turn off the pump, close the stopcocks, unscrew the old cell, disconnect the wires and insert the new one. It is important that the terminals are tightened securely to prevent them from overheating.

Do I have to change the pool water to put in a new cell?

It is not necessary to change the water unless the level of Stabiliser or total salts (TDS) is excessively high. What is mandatory is to balance the pH between 7.2 and 7.4 before turning on the new cell, as the electrolysis process tends to naturally raise the pH.
