Salt chlorination electrode replacement parts are products with a limited service life. For this reason, once they have been installed—even if only for testing purposes—they cannot be returned. Also, keep in mind that you cannot install an electrode that is either smaller or larger than the one originally specified for the equipment, as it will not work. Why should I change the electrodes of the Idegis Domotic cell?

The replacement cell allows the salt chlorination equipment to continue to function properly when the original cell has reached the end of its useful life.

How often should the electrodes of the Idegis Domotic series cell be changed?

The change will depend on several factors such as water quality, salinity index, frequency of polarity change, whether it has been properly maintained, whether it has been cleaned at least once a year, etc. In general, well maintained, it is an electrode that should last between 5,000-7500 hours. At PoolComet we recommend removing the electrode from the chlorinator in winter to improve the life span.

Does the Idegis Domotic electrode cell spare part include the cell housing?

How are the three wires of the chlorinator cell connected? Idegis Domotic e Idegis Domotic S2?

The chlorinator includes a 3-wire cable for the Salt Chlorinator. Yellow is the central one and is used to detect gas in the cell. If not installed, there is a risk that the chlorinator will continue to produce without the Filtration pump running, causing the cell to burst from accumulated gas. The other two wires (red and red) are used for the electrical intensity to the cell and to make the polarity change for self-cleaning.

Certikin Chlorsalt—which cell is compatible with it?

Certikin’s Chlorsalt chlorinators were manufactured (until 2014) by Idegis, at the time to the same specifications as the Idegis Domotic models, so you should select the same production model as your chlorinator.
