Aquapool Chlorine shock granules

The Chlorine Granules Shock Aquapool is a fast dissolving and immediate action chlorine to raise the chlorine level in pools, dechlorinate or allow anti-algae treatments.

It is available in the form of grgranules and contains 99% sodium dichloroisocyanurate. Dichloroisocyanurate provides a minimum free chlorine dosage of 55%.

Product features.

• It dissolves rapidly in water, allowing the necessary amount of residual chlorine to be obtained quickly.
• In polyester pools or liner make previous dissolution to prevent discoloration.
• Free residual chlorine has a higher stability against the sun’s ultraviolet rays compared to other products.
• Stabiliser product. Do not use in pools with high isocyanuric problems, as it may aggravate the problem. The ppm level of Stabiliser should not exceed 50ppm.

Dosage of use.

• Start-up treatment: Add 15 grams of Granular Chlorine Shock Aquapool per cubic meter (m3) of water. After two hours, adjust the pH of the water to between 7.2 and 7.6 using a product to increase or decrease the pH as needed.The initial treatment should be repeated whenever a lack of transparency in the water is observed.
• Maintenance treatment: with the pH of the water adjusted, add daily from 1 to 3 grams of Granulated Chlorine Shock per cubic meter (m3) of water. These doses are indicative and may vary according to the specific characteristics of each pool and climatic conditions, among other factors.
• Dechloramination: to reduce 1ppm of combined chlorine, you must raise the free chlorine level by 3ppm.

• In the evening, with the filtration system running and no swimmers, dissolve half of the required dose of chlorine in a bucket beforehand. Introduce this half of the dissolved dose inside a skimmer with filtration equipment running so that the product dissolves as the water circulates through the skimmer.
• The other half dose of Chlorine Shock Granules is again diluted in a bucket and spread evenly over the surface of the pool.
• The free residual chlorine level should be between 0.5 and 2 mg/l. You can easily measure this value using a chlorine and pH analyzer kit.
