The Pool One Seko peristaltic dosing pump allows automatic control of the chlorine level by measuring the redox potential (ORP). Its compact design allows proportional dosing of sodium hypochlorite.
This dosing pump is suitable for residential pools up to 90m3. Included everything needed for installation: pump, probe holder, tubing, redox probe and electrode holder.

What is redox and how can a chlorine dosing pump with ORP measurement improve water quality?
The redox potential, also known as ORP(Oxidation-Reduction Potential), measures the ability of water to remove contaminants such as bacteria, viruses or organic matter. Expressed in millivolts (mV), it is an indirect indicator of the disinfection capacity of water: the higher the value, the greater its disinfection power.
Although redox does not directly measure the concentration of free chlorine, it does have a direct relationship to its effectiveness: the higher the redox, the greater the oxidizing capacity of the water. For example, in a pool with pH 7.2, a redox value of approximately 755 mV indicates a concentration of 1.5 ppm free chlorine.

The dosing pump Pool ONE ORP Seko allows to automate pool disinfection by dosing sodium hypochlorite in a proportional way according to the real redox value measured by a probe integrated in the pool piping.
Thanks to this system, a constant balance in water quality is maintained, avoiding both overdosing (which can cause irritation, odors and deterioration of materials) and insufficient disinfection (which increases the risk of microbial proliferation).
The redox electrode requires periodic calibration to ensure accurate measurement and, in addition, to extend the lifetime (estimated between 6 months and 2 years depending on the frequency of calibration and care of the probe).
As redox is a parameter linked to pH, it is recommended that pH control systems be installed to ensure the stability of the parameter and the effectiveness of the disinfectant.
