It is shipped mounted on a panel with impurities prefilter, bypass to regulate flow and a practical anti-turbulent probe holder for 3 probes SEKO, which includes a high reliability pH probe, and a probe of redox with special gold filament for salt chlorinators.
This type of panel can be used in any salt chlorinator on the market that incorporates BNC connectors and has built-in control of redox and pH, both in domestic pools and Commercial Pool. It is not recommended in any case for use in public spas.
Thanks to its measurement quality and ease of use, it is the ideal choice to economically complement salt chlorinators such as the BSV PRO, which incorporates redox and pH control as standard.
There is a more accurate chlorine measurement option, through a potentiostatic free chlorine probe known as a special ph and free chlorine panel salt chlorinator.

What is redox and how does it relate to free chlorine?
The redox potential (also known as ORP, Oxidation-Reduction Potential) is a value that measures the ability of water to act as an oxidizing agent, i.e. its effectiveness in destroying contaminants such as bacteria, viruses and organic matter. It is expressed in millivolts (mV): the higher the value, the higher the disinfectant capacity of the water.
In swimming pools, redox is an inexpensive and indirect way to check if the water has an adequate level of disinfection.
A properly disinfected pool should maintain a free chlorine level between 1 and 2 ppm (parts per million). Below this threshold, the water loses disinfectant efficacy, which increases the risk of microorganism proliferation. On the contrary, an excess of free chlorine can cause skin, eye and mucous membrane irritations, bad odors and deterioration of materials.
Although redox does not directly measure the concentration of free chlorine, there is a correlation between the redox potential and the disinfectant capacity of the water, which allows the use of redox probes to automate the dosing of chlorine according to the actual need.
It has, as a limitation, to be a very sensitive measurement system to parasitic currents or pool conductivity, which makes it a very limited method for salt chlorination, or it will require a more precise calibration or a more controlled redox probe.
To interpret the redox value correctly, other factors such as pH, temperature and water alkalinity must also be considered. The following table gives an estimate of the ratio of free chlorine to redox in a pool at 25 °C, with an alkalinity of 100 ppm:

Recommendation: For a healthy and stable pool, it is recommended to work with guideline values of 1.5 to 2.0 ppm of free chlorine, which allows maintaining disinfection even with a greater influx of bathers. Consult your local Commercial Pool regulations to ensure compliance.
