The Coral 6-way selector valve is the ideal Spare part for QP and Coral pool filters.

Designed in standard 1 ½” (50 mm I.D.) size, includes pressure gauge and valve connections for easy and safe installation.

Manufactured with high resistance materials: ABS body, lid and handle. Distributor in PPO. Chemical resistant EPDM o-rings.

What is included with the Coral and QP 1 ½” filter valve with connections?

Included everything needed for a damaged valve replacement:

Straight link to filter inlet
90º bottom angled link
Pressure gauge.
Filter connection o-rings.
Complete body and timing handle.

How to identify the size of your valve?

If you are not sure whether your installation needs a 1 ½” or 2″ valve , measure the inside diameter of one of the valve inlets:

≈ 50 mm → 1 ½”
≈ 63 mm → 2″

In general, filters <700mm usually include a 1 ½” valve , while filters larger than 650mm usually include 2″ valves.

Important: do not measure the tube (it may have reductions), nor the filter thread.

In the case of other brands, the filter thread may not be compatible and installation may not be guaranteed.

There is a valve for Coral filter of the same diameter but without connections, more economical, in case your connections to filter are in good condition, you can consult it in Coral Valve 1 1/2″ without connections to filter.

Yes, the Coral or QP filter valve code 500490N includes the connections to the filter, o-rings and pressure gauge.

My pool filter valve “broke” when I made the connections. Why did this happen?

Pool filter valves—and any component with a female thread—require a male threaded connection. Sometimes, by mistake, users apply too much Teflon tape to the male thread, exerting excessive pressure on the female thread and causing the body where the female thread is located to break. It is recommended to apply a small amount of Teflon thread tape to the male thread to ensure a tight seal without damaging the female thread.
