AstralPool Classic Plus 2″ Selector Valve without fittings

If your selector valve AstralPool is leaking water, you have come to the right place. Compatible with the traditional classic 6-way valve and the NG bayonet valve, the new Classic Plus 6-way valve incorporates some significant advantages.

Improved hydraulics.

The new Classic Plus valve is designed with a curved lower elbow instead of the 90° elbow of the previous Classic or NG valve. This allows to reduce the pressure losses of the filter by 15%-20%, improving its hydraulics. In this version “without fittings”, the curved connection is not included.

New position of inner o-rings.

The upper body of the valve seats more evenly, reducing the possibility of damage to the star o-ring. Improves reliability by reducing valve handle friction.

Why did the pool filter valve break when I made the connections?

Pool filter valves—and any component with a female thread—require a male threaded connection. Sometimes, by mistake, users apply too much Teflon tape to the male thread, exerting excessive pressure on the female thread and causing the body where the female thread is located to break. It is recommended to apply a small amount of Teflon thread tape to the male thread to ensure a tight seal without damaging the female thread.
